For each individual project, I like to learn as much as possible about the location (or come up with the perfect one), personalities and to make sure we work well together for your photography needs. If you want to look like a plastic Barbie, I am not your woman. My style is real and raw however I will happily get rid of a pimple, stray hair or wire hanging in the background in Photoshop. I always try to capture the perfect image and framing the first time and that challenge is part of the fun for me!
Here is a Question and Answer to help explain any questions you may have:
Q: How long have you been a photographer? How did you become a photographer?
A: If you want the long story, please read my About Me page. The short version is over 20 years and I have been shooting since I was 10 years old, professionally since 2001 with a journalism degree from Penn State University.
Q: We love your services and your portfolio style. What sets you apart from other photographers out there?
A: I have been professional modeling since college. I know what it is like to be on the other side of the lens. Many photographers do not know how to make clients feel comfortable however this comes naturally to me. I realize that you want to look and feel your best and I aim to make you feel like a rock star during and after our shoot. Sometimes I dabble in make-up artistry, wardrobe design and hair styling as well. I also like client feedback on what images they like and why so you are still part of the process from beginning to end.
Q: This all sounds so wonderful but it also seems so expensive. Am I able to afford this?
A: You want to work with a professional photographer who you work best with and someone who you can benefit from their help. For weddings, my rates start at $1,000 which is very competitive for the saturated Philadelphia wedding photographer market. "Like a ninja" was one description a couple gave me during their wedding and it wasn't just because I wear all black! For head shots, family portraits or other situations and events, it depends on the project at hand.
Q: Will you have a second shooter? Do you have back-up equipment? Will you work with vendors I already found or people I work with?
A: I have access to a few second shooters, all with professional equipment. If you require one for your event or wedding, please know there will be an additional fee for the second shooting photography. I, myself, sometimes do second shooting wedding or event photography as well. I have multiple lenses, batteries and two professional Nikon cameras.
Q: Do you take credit cards and do you have a payment plan?
A: I have a PayPal account through my email address which is cassiehepler@hotmail.com that will take credit cards. I do not offer a payment plan however unless we have a contract for continuous photography services or other contract work.
Q: Do you schedule more than one wedding or photography session a day?
A: I like to devote all of my creative energy to the task at hand. When I am wearing my photography cap, I am deeply involved and professional. I do not feel it is proper to spread myself too thin and have multiple projects in one day. I think a refreshed, well-rested photographer will wield better results!
